Its almost 1 p.m. on Monday, and as per usual at this time on Mondays, I just got home. Except this time I didn't just get home from class. No, this time I just got home from riding trails.

Our seemingly endless winter this year has finally given way to warm temperatures and sunshine and dear god is it nice out. For the second time in the last week I played hookie to hit the singletrack and you better believe I am NOT regretting it. Its the kind of day that you could just ride and ride and I would have kept riding were I not so damn out of shape that my arms were shaking and my back was about to give out after just ten miles. I have one more class this afternoon (which I AM going to thankyouverymuch) and then I'm going to pick up the Maddiedore and take her to the dog park. I've gotta soak up as much of this sunshine and freedom as possible - I have grown very accustomed to having the freedom to take off in the afternoons when its nice out and I know that as soon as I'm in the real world that freedom will end. Dammit.

Speaking of jobs, I'm still waiting to hear from currentplaceofemployment about whether or not I can stay. Its taking forever, which I pretty much expected, but it doesn't make the waiting any easier.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. I scrambled to get my bar appliction in on time, picked up a foster pup for two weeks, considered keeping said foster pup but ended up finding him a great home, and took the Maddiedore to the 24 hour doggie doc after a bout of "dietary indiscretion" (which is apparently the veterinary way of saying "ate a LOT of garbage!"). All is well but I am wiped! The fiance is out of town for the week and it will be nice to have some peace and quiet. Next week will be my last week of law school (hip hip hoooray!) and then its time for finals and graduation then bar review and then the bar and THEN I will officially be done with school, at least in the forseeable future. Exciting.
